I think we can all agree that 2020 has been full of ups and downs and unexpected events. For me personally, what we’re witnessing has added meaning to common statements we make, such as “tomorrow is not promised”, “God is control” or “it’s above me”.

My word for 2020 was very simple, “execute”. Not plan, not strategize, not envision, but execute. That means, whatever I planned on doing, I had to execute, and I had to apply that principle to every area of my life; my fitness or financial goals, my spiritual life and so much more. I thought I was disciplined but I thought wrong y’all! It challenged my level of discipline and made me rethink how I approach so many situations. I won’t get into details in this post but we don’t realize how much we’re willing to compromise and take shortcuts to reach our goals, when in reality, sometimes the secret or the answer is found on the long path.

Anyway, since my 2019 was quite challenging (I want to say ghetto so bad), I set very simple and realistic goals for 2020. All the things I wanted to do for years, I decided this was the year I wasn’t only going to think about it and plan for it, but I will actually execute.

Since the end of 2019, I started building a collection of one liners from my diary and sharing it with some of my friends. It sparked a lot of conversations and even gave birth to this blog. That being said, I wanted to put them all in one file to have it with me forever. Firstly because it’s prophetic and a sign of my obedience, but it’s also a reminder of God’s faithfulness to me through the battle. Whoever is going through a rough time or just needs a gentle word reminding them of God’s love, I present to you Secrets, a collection of words God whispered to me during some of my darkest hours.

This will go down history as my first book, and we will all remember this day when I have a bestseller.
